‘The Oculus Table’ is an architectural marvel carved from a hand picked block of calculatedly grained white quarry. Geometric in stature, a punctured top surface allows for a visual juxtaposition with the ‘lingam’ anchored to its base - the ‘lingam,’ a form unique to Indian geometry is representative of Lord Shiva and finds its presence centered within the piece, holding a planter that moves across the void in the upper surface. This center table placed singularly or as a pair is dynamic in perception and organic in function.
