Pairing impeccable hand skill and faultless white quarry, ‘The New Moon Stambh,’ is a six foot tall sculpture that can fragment itself into three functional design objects made entirely from a single block of stone.

Inspired by the cosmic forms, the marble is carefully sculpted to challenge parameters of balance, materiality and functionality.

The Atelier’s infamous ‘Moonshadow,’ a foundational form for this piece is manipulated to create these distinct design objects that can take on multiplicity in function. This symmetrical assemblage celebrates form, challenges scale and fosters tranquility by engineering the stone to resemble weightlessness, an entire length enveloped in a natural white.
