BANANA LIGHT
2015
Inspired by mid century design practices with a quirky contemporary feel, this series of banana lights are very much inspired by the architecture of the space they were intended for. Situated on the border that separates conceptual lighting design and sculpture, the light serves a utilitarian function but also exists as an object in space. It's bold, striking and quite unusual in design, yet minimal finish and constructs from clean, organic lines. The texture of the lights is a reminiscent of the metal sculptures of Alberto Giacometti.
